Frigidaire Refrigerator Popping Noise

Refrigerator clicking is caused by one of a few reasons. The clicking sound may come from your fridge’s condenser coils, the compressor, start relay, or the condenser fan. One of the first troubleshooting methods you should use is determining whether or not the refrigerator is cooling properly.

Samsung Refrigerator Popping Noise Fix

All,
I have a Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator (model 253.54363407) that periodically makes a loud knocking sound. Both the freezer and refrigerator sides are cooling properly. The refrigerator is approximately 11 years old.
When the knocking sound occurs, I have watched the compressor bounce up and down slightly in rhythm with the knocking sound. The knocking sound does not occur every time the compressor starts. However, I do believe the sound occurs when the compressor is running.
Based on some internet reading, I cleaned the coils. To get them really clean I ended up using a leaf blower. Very effective, but messy (good thing my wife is visiting her mom ).
The condenser fan runs quietly and appears to be operating normally.
The ice maker is also working normally.
Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks,
Dave
