Ruthless By Law, an Album by RBL Posse. Released 25 October 1994 on In-A-Minute (catalog no. Genres: West Coast Hip Hop, Gangsta Rap, Mobb Music. Following the mass success of Lesson to Be Learned, RBL Posse took their West Coast gangsta rap to a slower, more psychotic place with 1994’s Ruthless by Law. That the woozy, tilted “Blue Bird” was the album’s hit single says a lot about the times. Gangsta rap was in, and the music got deeper as it got darker. Ruthless by Law is the second album by the RBL Posse. It was released on November 15, 1994 for In-a-Minute Records and was produced by Black C, Mr. Cee, The Hitman, The Enhancer, TC and Cellski. Ruthless by Law was a success, gaining positive reviews as well as peaking at #197 on the Billboard 200, #23 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and #3 on the Top Heatseekers.
